Can I return an item?

We gladly accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date. Items returned to us must be in original, re-sellable condition. Shipping fees for returned items are the responsibility of the customer. After receiving the parcel and after approval of the goods, we will refund the money within 14 days. Unfortunately, return options for Made to Order & Made to measure products are not possible. These products cannot be returned.

How do I return an item?

To return a product use the following steps:

See page T&C (Terms and conditions) for all information. Please fill in the return form that came along in your parcel. Contact us by email at webshop@thejameshaarlem.com, if this return form is missing. Include your name, address and the order number. Follow the instruction on the return form. 

Pack up all items with your invoice in their original packaging. Ensure that all items are packed with care, as we will not be able to refund items damaged in return transit.

Ship all items to the shipping address that you received in the return details e-mail mentioned in step 1. We are not liable for lost returns. We recommend that you obtain a Certificate of Posting to track your parcel at all times.

Upon arrival, we will inspect the goods and if their condition matches our requirements (that is: “as new, unused and in their original packaging”). If all is in order a refund will be made within 14 business days.

We will send you an email confirming your exchange or refund. Please note that any shipping costs will be covered by you.

Do you ship internationally?

We do our best to deliver our interior treasures worldwide. But, as our products are not easy to send, our shipping options are somewhat limited. But fear not, most of our products can be shipped within Europe. For orders from outside Europe we can only ship directly if items can be sent as packages. Contact us at webshop@thejameshaarlem.com about a specific product to see if we can ship to you. If the shipping does not automatically appear while checking out please get in contact with us, we will sort it out for all over the world.

Which payment methods does The James accept?

At The James you can choose from various secure payment methods: iDeal, PayPal, Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard,) Alternatively, you can also pay when you pick up the parcel.

Will I receive an invoice for my order?

Yes, as soon as your order has been confirmed and the payment has been processed, you will receive an invoice/order confirmation by email.

Can I get more information about a product?

Yes, that is possible. We try to include all relevant information and specifications for all our products on the web shop. Should you still require additional information, you can contact us via the Contact form or send us an email at webshop@thejameshaarlem.com.

Are the pictures shown on the web shop representative for the product that I will receive?

We do our best to describe and display our products correctly. At the same time, most of our products are handmade, unique and authentic. This means that for many items in our web shop, there might be slight differences versus the item shown in the webshop. We try to provide as much information about color options and size options as possible. If you have a certain preference or some other considerations, please include this in the comment box and we will contact you before finalizing the order.

Is it possible to have my order gift wrapped?

Of course we would be happy to gift wrap your items. In your shopping cart you will have the option to select gift wrapping for your order. Please keep in mind we can only gift wrap items until a certain size. Seriously big items like a floorlamp, or chair will be send without wrap.

Is it possible to get interior advise how to decorate my home?

Yes, it is possible to request customized interior advice from us. All options are described on the Interior advise page. We work with different packages, but everything is possible, so please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
